Community Support

This year alone we have reduced the overall MME (morphine milligram equivalents) of our patients by hundreds. We work with our patients to better understand their needs and discuss the role of pain medication in their life's. Many patients are able to reduce their dose without major complaints or their pain increasing. Through our assessment techniques and a thorough discussion about the risk and benefits, we have been able to help many of our patients reduce their dose of chronic pain medication.

We continue to reassess our patients throughout the year and will always look at reducing pain medication if possible and/or if needed. As we continue to navigate the field of chronic pain and the medications that are sometimes needed, we are always looking to reduce the use of pain medication as long as it does not interfere with the patients' rights to receive appropriate pain relief.
